Many of us can relate to Katie Bruels, Chief Nursing Executive at HCA Midwest Health: we've created careers and networks by simply landing there, not necessarily by design. In this episode of The Network, Katie shares her backstory. You'll hear how she got started in nursing and how she has developed that early start into a leadership role at one of the nation's largest healthcare providers.

Katie's story has prompted her to care deeply about the exposure and early pathways to career exploration for young people. She and Corey talk about the exciting partnership between the CAPS Network and HCA Midwest Health that will increase the opportunities learners have to explore the healthcare professions with hands-on, profession-based learning.

The Network is all about discovering the CAPS Model. The CAPS Network is a 501(c)3 supporting over 130 programs, in 20+ states and 4 countries. CAPS reimagines education to be a learner centered, profession based experience that catapults young people into passion and purpose. CAPS is going where students lead.
